Today I am writing about poems, they have been written in the past about our great country and freedoms.
Thought it was appropriate to write about some thing like this being it’s the week of the Fourth of July 2023.
The first poem is one that my great uncle Reverend George Bennard had written many years ago And dedicated it to DD Eisenhower was our president .
Reverend George Bernnard also wrote the famous song, the old rugged Cross .
He was my uncle through marriage. He married my great aunt she was my grandfather’s sister she was an accomplished pianist. Her name was Hannah Bennard.
This is the poem that he had written to President D. D. Eisenhower.
God in the nation needs you. God in the nation needs you apostle of peace for our day God in the nation needs you will follow if you lead the way .
God and the nation needs you. We hope that you’ll “choose to run “ God and the nation needs you. To finish the work you’ve begun.
God and the nation needs you. Great soldier and statesman you stand. You ended the war in Korea. You’ve brought lasting good to the land !
God in the whole world needs you. To help stem this communist tide. Your faith in the Lord in the Bible will cause HIM to stand at your side!
This is a saying that Ronald Reagan had said, and that’s probably one of the truest things. Any president has ever said in my lifetime.
“ freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”
I am asking anyone that loves this country and loves their freedom, please think about these two men has said in the past, and pray for wisdom and action on this. Our a great country United States of America needs good honest men to keep our freedoms.??????????????.
